With the absence of Rooney & Owen , England was surely on the back foot ,with only Peter Crouch offering some glimmer of hope in the match.
David Beckham, the finest midfielder ,the world can ever see , was forced to sit in the bench for most part of the game ,by a horrible coach , and his magnificent crosses jus managed to save his team embarrassment , and losing gracefully.
England has after a gap of 10 -12 years has not managed to qualify for Euro 2007 finals
and its about time , they changed the coach ,make Beckham as captain again & rework their defending strategies .

This contains a collection one of my most favourite dialogues
in various movies .
Don Corleone: What have I ever done to make you treat me so disrespectfully? If you'd come to me in friendship, then this scum that ruined your daughter would be suffering this very day. And if by chance an honest man like yourself should make enemies, then they would become my enemies. And then they would fear you.
Don Corleone: I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse.
Don Corleone: You talk about vengance. Is vengance going to bring your son back to you or my boy to me? I forgo the vengance of my son. But my youngest son had to leave this country because of this Sollozzo business. So now I have to make arraingments to bring him back safely cleared of all these false charges. But I'm a supersticious man. And if some unluck accident should befall him, if he should be shot in the head by a police officer, or if should hang himself in his jail cell, or if he's struck by a bolt of lightening, then I'm going to blame some of the people in this room and that, I do not forgive. But, that aside, let say that I swear, on the souls of my grandchildren, that I will not be the one to break the peace we have made here today.
Hitch :So how does it happen, great love? Nobody knows... but what I can tell you is that it happens in the blink of an eye. One moment you're enjoying your life, and the next you're wondering how you ever lived without them.
Basic Principles - no woman wakes up saying "God, I hope I don't get swept off my feet today!" Now, she might say "This is a really bad time for me," or something like "I just need some space," or my personal favorite "I'm really into my career right now." You believe that? Neither does she. You know why? 'Cause she's lying to you, that's why. You understand me? Lying! It's not a bad time for her. She doesn't need any space. And she may be into her career, but what she's really saying is "Uh, get away from me now," or possibly "Try harder, stupid," but which one is it? 60% of all human communication is nonverbal, body language; 30% is your tone, so that means 90% of what you're saying ain't coming out of your mouth. Of course she's going to lie to you! She's a nice person! She doesn't want to hurt your feelings! What else she going to say? She doesn't even know you... yet. Luckily, the fact is that just like the rest of us, even a beautiful woman doesn't know what she wants until she sees it, and that's where I come in. My job is to open her eyes. Basic Principles - no matter what, no matter when, no matter who... any man has a chance to sweep any woman off her feet; he just needs the right broom.
Carmine Falcone : People from your world have so much to lose. Now, you think that, because your mommy and your daddy got shot, you know about the ugly side of life, but you don't. You've never tasted desperate. You're Bruce Wayne, the Prince of Gotham; you'd have to go a thousand miles to meet someone who didn't know your name. So, don't come down here with your anger, trying to prove something to yourself. This is a world you'll never understand. And you always fear what you don't understand. Okay.
4.Dead Poets Society
John Keating: We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?" Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?
John Keating: They're not that different from you, are they? Same haircuts. Full of hormones, just like you. Invincible, just like you feel. The world is their oyster. They believe they're destined for great things, just like many of you, their eyes are full of hope, just like you. Did they wait until it was too late to make from their lives even one iota of what they were capable? Because, you see gentlemen, these boys are now fertilizing daffodils. But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? - - Carpe - - hear it? - - Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary.
5. Scent of A Woman
Lt. Col. Frank Slade : Out of order, I show you out of order. You don't know what out of order is, Mr. Trask. I'd show you, but I'm too old, I'm too tired, I'm too fuckin' blind. If I were the man I was five years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place! Out of order? Who the hell do you think you're talkin' to? I've been around, you know? There was a time I could see. And I have seen. Boys like these, younger than these, their arms torn out, their legs ripped off. But there isn't nothin' like the sight of an amputated spirit. There is no prosthetic for that. You think you're merely sending this splendid foot soldier back home to Oregon with his tail between his legs, but I say you are... executin' his soul! And why? Because he's not a Bairdman. Bairdmen. You hurt this boy, you're gonna be Baird bums, the lot of ya. And Harry, Jimmy, Trent, wherever you are out there, FUCK YOU TOO!
Its just two days post Diwali , and i felt compelled to write about how all major cell phone networks like Airtel , Aircel & Vodafone have managed to pull off by doing cheap tricks , and cash in on by exploting its million customers across the country .
I presume the trend started on April 14 or much before that, when all these networks began charging 25 paise for each message sent on that day (prior to charging 1 Rupee a day for 100 msgs and then moving onto 5 paise per message)
Their explanation was simple : "We need to reduce the network congestion on such festival days , and thus our only option was to charge for all messages "
Even the most illiterate customer cannot be fooled by such a cheap trick .It is a clear case of sheer exploitation , with a strong uphold and belief that no one is bothered to file a suit against them for charging 25 paise /message .
The number seems to be small , but when you begin to recall what the movie Anniyan talks about , the number really seems to be huge..
25 paise / message , with an average of 30 messages in that day , with a 25 million customers in a state , the number arrives at a massive Rs.187.5 million (or 18 . 75 crores in messages alone in a single day in a single state)
The above cited figure is the least possible revenue generated by the networks , by assuming least possible values for all variables...Despite that ,the result is enormous .
One might wonder , why do such companies "beg " , rather than allowing more discounts ,cheaper call rates or more talk value ...
They sure know how to make attractive ads , but its high time they learn that profits alone matters ,customers too !!

turned out to be a complete disappointment and disaster .
Happened to catch the movie First Day First Show on Diwali , and i couldnt catch better sleep anywhere else..The only good thing about it was the songs (only audio not the picturisation )and Rahman's scintillating BGM's .
Dont waste your money on this !!

Airbus has raced ahead and brought out the A380 ,a 70 meters long and 80 wide, 4 engine and a two deck airliner with a 525 seating configuration for its three class config (Phew !!)
A380 made its debut venture from Singapore to Sydney ,with Singapore Airlines on 25th Oct ' 07.
A380 was initially proposed as a joint venture betweeen Airbus and Boeing , but both realized that it wasn't working out and since then Airbus has loads of trouble in bringing out this airline and put it into the sky successfully.
Boeing , then hasnt been just a spectator to all this drama . They went ahead and brought out yet another beauty . The Boeing 787 "Dreamliner " .
The competition has really heated up , with Airbus really failing to deliver most of the promised features like gyms and casinos. The airline turns out to be an extravagant and a luxurious service for the "premium" travelers by offering them restaurants , separate cabins and even a double bed to sleep .
Yet , it is the same leg crunching , neck breaking seats for the economy class and thus is a "nothing special one" compared to the thousands of aero-planes soaring across the skies and the clouds .
The yet to "officially fly" Boeing's 787 Dreamliner on the other hand , has cashed in on several orders (a few sites quote it as almost 4 times that of what Airbus has bagged )
The Dreamliner stands majestically , slashing all critics , with its small , sleek futuristic design
and also touted to be a "green" machine .
With superior and advanced technology, Boeing offers a point to point travel , with no stoppages, a complete contrast to the A 380 , which just flies from one major hub to another (only certain airports in the world can even fit in a A380 )
It is time for Airbus to really work out a better design next time .
After all bigger isn't always better !!

However, if you give positive instructions like ‘Be careful; pay attention to your balance and move slowly,’then the child will access representations that will help him cope with the situation.”
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is the Study of the Structure of Subjective Experience and what can be calculated from it. In simple terms it’s the study of modeling patterns of communication. Though this field has been widely utilized in many areas like recruiters, therapists, sales persons to enhance creativity and elicit learning strategies, cure phobias and make the million dollar sale nothing has been done to guide the practitioner to train him and calibrate his own ability. The proposed work is an engine upon which applications that can train simulate and evaluate a practitioner’s performance can be built. There are fivecommunication channels -visual, auditory, kinesthetic, smell and taste and these are expressed as digital when writing or using a language to express them. And this is the only channel that is taken under consideration as it is beyond the scope of this project to consider non-verbal communication.
Processing verbal language requires machine learning and knowledge about the language itself. So this engine will be built on already developed API on natural language processing, neural networks and fuzzy logic , wordnet and other natural language ontology.
This paper is divided into three sections which explain :
1 Neuro linguistic programming as a meta-model of communication which is process oriented
2 The function of the proposed engine to understand the meta-model of communication so as
to simulate,analyze and detect communication patterns in dealing with therapy or sales
or even the truth in a conversation.
3 Design and Implementation of the engine
Process Oriented Vs. Content Oriented
The focus is here on the process rather than the content .By changing the process and giving more options over what patterns they can use , the person still maintains his own skill and creativity. He will also be able to adapt to new situations as what he learnt was process oriented and not content oriented.
The Function of the Engine
Psychologists and salespersons have practiced and succeeded in their professions, without realizing howthey did it. Our engine learns the patterns that make them successful using the Meta – model analysis. This can be used to teach others and arrive at generalizations
The engine learns and evaluates its own mathematical representation from further conversation and it adapts new representations accordingly. To start with the engine looks for the well defined generalized nominalizations in the meta-model like sampling . deletion , distortion , quotes , unspecified verb to start generating its mathematical meta model of effective communication and critically analysis the communication using the following evaluation pattern
What is the goal of every communication?
How close is a particular pattern helpful in taking you closer to the goal?
Evaluating how successful the pattern is?
How accordingly a different pattern or method is being used ?
Engine Design and Implementation
The engine has to be designed to understand natural language and process the information and analyzewhat’s going on and match it with the meta – model. For this it learns using a back propagation method.
It also needs to construct sales and a mathematical representation which it uses Quinine c4.5 algorithm andfuzzy sets. In order to comprehend the language and goal of communication the engine relies on wordnet framework and language anthology.
The engine has to parse the conversation and understand the lexical meaning of the sentence for which natural language processing algorithms using backward propagation and reverse propagation is used. To maintain a meta –model and analyze the results , a fuzzy set is generated from which it is compared and moreover ontology or knowledge of the language is necessary for which wordnet framework is used. The engine is built on a generic design , which allows any application to be build on it , its main purpose is to analyze and synthesis the meta-model of communication from given examples and match any given
conversation. In additi on the engine is also designed to learn continuously from every analysis andsimulation it performs besides its learning from the given set of data.

Twenty 20 or simply called T20 sealed its firm place in cricketing history this monday
The match turned out to be nothing less than a nerve wracking , nail biting thriller , with full intensity and "cricketism" at its best ..
A dramatic final over,needing jus 13 runs for a World Cup Victory , starting with a wide ,
and then a huge six , and then the unexpected happened....
A huge Back Loft in the air by Misbah , expected to be a match sealer by going for a six , stopping the heartbeat for millions of Indians worldwide for those few seconds ,instead landed on Shreesanth's safe hands and also with it a pulsating, unbelievable victory ..
If u call it a game of cricket or even a world tournament final for that matter , people might still call u nuts..Cos it was not ..
It was intensity,patriotism , victory , laughter,cry, and every other emotion found in a Shakespeare play....India needs a lot of these and soon !!
The debate still continues if one really wants to see a 20 over match over the long run ,
but more matches like this , and it sure is paving the way for the demise for one of the finest forms of the game ,Test Cricket

"O Captain! My Captain!" is a poem by Walt Whitman. It was written in homage to U.S. President Abraham Lincoln after his assassination in 1865, and was first published the same year in an appendix attached to the latest version of Whitman's continually expanding anthology, Leaves of Grass.
The poem consists of three stanzas, its layout appearing like a ship approaching its destination, and begins with the famous apostrophe of its title:
O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
|But O heart! heart! heart!||5|
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
|Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;||10|
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
|It is some dream that on the deck,||15|
You’ve fallen cold and dead.
My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
|From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;||20|
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

The foll is an excerpt from the movie Ratatouille , when the food critic Anton Ego tastes the food at Chef Gusteau's and writes his review on it..
Its one of the finest and moving dialogues from one of the best movies Pixar has ever made..
Anton Ego: In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau's famous motto: Anyone can cook. But I realize that only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau's, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau's soon, hungry for more.

June 15 : Schools ,Colleges and offics were deserted. It was not a national holiday.
It was much bigger than that.
It was the release of the much awaited movie of the millenium ,and the biggest India has ever seen.A 65 crore movie ...
What more can it be than a Rajnikanth movie directed by Shankar , music by Rahman ?
Can the stakes be ever higher than this ?
But the greatest satisfaction comes when the movie comes out in top throttle.
It is nearly impossible describing the enormity of the movie , the splendor , glitz and glamour surrounding it ,the visual array of stunning and unbelievable sets in songs ,
and most of all Rajnikanth.
What do i say abt him . THALAIVAAAAAAAAA . Noone else in this world can beat u..UR The one and only SuperStar
Sixukku apparam seven
Sivajikku apparam evan?
Be it the Athiradee song , or the punch dialogues , be it his comedy or the stunning sets in the songs , every aspect of the movie was visually rocking and mind blowing.
/* Spoilers */
The second entry of Rajnikanth from the helicopter as M.G.R (Boss - Mottai Boss) in the later part of the movie is just like eating a Italian Triple Sundae Ice cream on a hot desert .It cannot get better than this..(A dessert in a desert ..Wahhhhhhh)
The flipping of a coin , bouncing a chewing gum to his mouth , his way of seeing COooool , BOSS- .Motta Boss ..Amazing..........
The no of adjectives used to describe the movie was less than i had hoped to use cos i forgot them or I have struggled to decribe the visual magnificence in mere words.
Jus go watch it and have the experience of a lifetime..
The Sivaji movie and Rajnikanth has made me feel proud and boast of being a tamilian..

Its a rare spectacle to see the enthralling sight of glory and victory .
But if victory becomes a habit would it be called rare , as
was the case of Pete Sampras ,Michael Schumacher , Roger Federer and then finally
The World Champions ,Australia.
Upon analysing how such incredible acts were performed , it is astonishing to find one single common factor .
All the above men /team have achieved their immortal status in sport by fighting against the best
If there was no Agassi or Jim Courier there wouldnt have been a Sampras ,that we would know today.
If there was no Alonso or Raikkonen , Schumacher would have been a nobody
If there was no Nadal , Federer is just any other good tennis player .
For the Australians , it was the South Africans who proved to them they are also mortal.
Be it any field , true professionalism and sheer class is brought out only when an equal and a daunting challenge arises.
A person /team is called No : 1 ,not by rankings but by the no of hearts they capture from the way they play .
The only exception to all these is The Aussies , who werent even tested a muscle in the recently concluded World Cup. Teams that were thought to be a stiff opposition to the world champions turned out to be mere weaklings ,losing out to even minnows in the worst possible way ,crumbling under pressure .
Its jus not players like Hayden ,Gilchrist ,Ponting or Mcgrath that make them the no 1.
Even without all its superstars , Australia will still be the supreme and the invincibles , for they play as a team and have it in them the never say die attitude and possess the aggressive spirit .
Winning once mite be luck , winning twice mite be called greatness
But four times ??? English is still a small language to describe them in a word . .
All these teach us one final lesson
To prove that ur the best , show it convincingly , and do it by beating the best with ur best ,in fair means
Art is best expressed by showing the inner things rather than outward appearances :-)

and it has arrived in full blast removing any kind of even the slightest criticism surrounding it.
Rahman has created magic and it perfects aptly to The Super Star just as the crown fits a king.
It is hard to deny that all seven numbers are really fresh,rejuvenating and gives u the hear it again feel.
If any one is trying to place a song into any particular genre, they really have some tough time ahead.
Call it Techno ,Rock,Classical,Western,Pop, or even the local hip hop/rap
The classification is endless
If the music starts with an awesome number of Athiradi,sung by the Maestro himself,
its the turn of the Style and The Boss to keep the dance floors on fire
The transition is well worth a note from pop to a meldious number ,Sahana pookal ,sung by Chinmayi and Udit Narayan .
They always the best is always at the last
It turns out to be true as always as in the case of Rahman
It comes in the form of a full throttle song ,Vaaji Vaaji Sivaji
If u havent yet listened to Sivaji songs
jus go go go go go and get the cds/cassettes

The above statement proved itself true last time when South Africa and Australia met in Johannesburg.
But certainly not yesterday,as most South African fans believed to happen.
It was a perfect day,perfect pitch, and a perfect setting for what happens to be one of the most exciting match of this world cup.
Australia began their juggernaut rolling , right from the first over, as Hayden and Gilchrist
smashed swashbuckling sixes and fours ,against what was hoped to be a formidable bowling attack.
It turned out to be completely wrong, as Pollock,Langeveldt,Kallis and Makhaya Ntini were completely thrashed with real classy textbook shots.
Australia proudly took back what rightly belonged to them, the no 1 spot in the ICC ODI Cricket Ratings ,and expected to receive $ 1,75,000 on April 1 for the same
The South African innings too provided its share of excitement ,with a blistering knock from A.B.Villiers and Graeme Smith. But as in the case of other teams,the middle order crash took place and there was no looking back for the Aussies
It is an undeniable fact that what took place yesterday was a feast for the eyes,as well as to show thatwhat a World Champion team really constitutes for.
Not just a skilfull team of 7 batsmen(including Gilli) and 4 bowlers, but a mystical force pushing on to achieve the impossible and a never say die attitude.
